Nashville Tennessee magazine
It didn't last very long, only a couple of years. Nashville Tennessee was the name of the magazine that wrote about country music, but also about Jason & the Scorchers, Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, Rick Nelson... stuff like that. Everbody still agrees this was the best magazine that ever saw daylight in Holland and Belgium. Due to a conflict between the money people and the editor the magazine stopped because all the journalists chose for the editor. And that was the end of NT Magazine.
Kathy Mattea showing a NT Magazine (coverstory Jason & the Scorchers) liking the idea to be featured in a fine magazine. She earned my eternal gratitude by telling her manager Bob Titley, when he said "Kathy, it's time to go", that she wanted to give me all the time I needed to complete our interview.
Some people said we were crazy, spending so much time on selling the magazine in the weekends, travelling so much, writing so many stories, and not getting payed. But the guy on the left, Kees de Haan (Crossroads Music), inspired us and we never worried about money.
As you can see, in the long run, I wasn't the only one with NT blindfolds on. My friend Ad caught the NT flew as well. Just to show you how crazy we were (in a positive way).
